About Software for Marketers

Software for Marketers is a directory of the software that gets visitors to a website, turns them into customers, and brings them back. It follows the path of a click, from getting traffic to landing, converting, tracking and keeping people. The aim is to let you compare real prices and features without reading twenty vendor sites.

How we check a listing

Prices, plans, fees and features come from the vendor's own website, and we record the page we used and the date we checked. A listing only counts as verified once a person has done that. Until then it carries a notice saying so, and it is kept out of search engines. Where a vendor's page doesn't say something, we say “not stated” rather than guess.

Filters only use details we have confirmed. If a tool is left out of a filtered view because we haven't verified that detail yet, the page says so.

How we keep them up to date

Every 30 days our crawler revisits each listed tool's website and pricing page to catch dead links and pricing changes, and a person reviews anything it flags. You can read about it on the crawler page. Every listing also has a “Report an error” form, and we read every report.

How we make money, and what we also build

Some placements are paid or promoted, and they are always labelled “Sponsored”. A sponsored slot never changes a tool's verified details or where it appears in the normal list.

The owner of this site also builds Webicly, Tracly and Toolicly. They are listed using the same checks as every other tool, and where they appear in a sponsored slot they are labelled the same way. We may add affiliate links in future; if we do, we will say so on the page.

How we use AI

When someone submits a tool, an AI assistant can read the tool's public website and draft the form. That draft is always reviewed by a person and checked against the vendor's own pages before anything is published, and AI-drafted prices are never shown as verified.
